Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

We explore the ways experienced teachers can embrace new strategies and philosophies from ACTFL standards, IPAs and inquiry based learning while maintaining high learning standards. Discussion will focus on transforming old ideas into new techniques, working smarter not harder and how to reach the new learners of today. Strategies include using technology to increase engagement and motivation, resource recycling for several activities or for several levels, and personalized learning. Learn how prior experiences can guide teachers to maintain their own motivation while providing dynamic and rewarding experiences for our students while they grow as language learners.
